Component-based asset management is a system of keeping and interacting with enterprise level BIM (Building Information Modeling) data. By implementing this system, a centralized location for asset information is created. This information can be easily accessed to track asset conditions, allowing for discussions of when to or when not to act on those conditions, saving both time and money.
